Vintage Props - Furnishing the trailer

One of the most fun things we get to do is buy vintage items to go inside Katrina...

As someone who has always had a soft spot for old stuff it's a natural for me. Lori was not too keen on old "junk" when I met her - matter of fact she thought old cars were only for people who couldn't afford new ones! I'll cover more of this when I blog on the restoration of our 1957 Chevy in the near future..

She slowly warmed to my appreciation for it all and has really come to enjoy hunting for treasures... Here are some of the items we have found so far...

California souvenir glasses...yes I do love Cali and would love to be a resident there!

Old 6 pack holder for Coca Cola...the way it should be...a deposit on the GLASS bottles and the aluminum carrier...

Made in the USA...again just as it should be

Melmac "Burlap" coffee cups...nothing like vintage melamine

Aluminum canisters should look appropriate

More aluminum....it seems everything from years gone by could be recycled...no "Engineered obsolescence" either..

More melamine in the "Burlap" pattern... we will be adding to this collection for her

No smokers but this will work perfectly for those bottle caps from the campfire beers!

Bamboo souvenir serving platter

Lori found this fabric in an Antique store in Eastern Washington.... not sure what she will make with it but I'm positive it will be very cool

Throw pillow cover from the 50's - perfect for a vintage trailer!

Another, we'll be buying a few more of these

This is a souvenir Cali table cloth from the 50's...pretty sweet!

Melamine dinnerware...no need for paper...the color is a very nice aqua but looks blue here

Retro pattern will look right at home!

What vintage kitchen would be complete without a coffee percolator?

These are so cool and work perfectly... I paid $7.50 for the pair at an Estate Sale

Lori found these - are they perfect or what!?

I found these on Craigslist for a reasonable price....they are quite expensive on eBay... funny thing is they are made new right here in the USA by a company named Lawn Chair USA LLC - I just found them and will be buying a few soon as they are priced lower then the ones I've seen at auction.
