Coming Together in Front

YEE HAW!!  It was progress we could see this weekend!

It's funny that everything takes at least twice as long to accomplish as we think that it will....progress seems slow although we have not been working on her for very long nor everyday for that matter.

Lori worked her lil' butt off with sanding the interior and helping me to figure out how to frame the front ceiling area with the bend in the Birch Paneling.  She is such a great wife and helper; I couldn't have done what we did together this past weekend alone that is for certain! (but it is her trailer after all!)

Here are some photos of what we did and some "before" pics as illustration of how far shes come to date .....

Always wanting to help; she is awesome!

Sanding the interior doors and drawers for refinishing

Before....

Before....wow looks bad!

TA-DA! Yes we are excited to see it coming together nicely!

Hard to believe it's the same trailer

The street side repairs

We scratched our heads a lot trying to figure out what went where but pulled it together

We impressed ourselves...too early to celebrate for long though

The old Birch inside the front upper storage bin

New framing....

Notched the side framing to attach the roof frame

The Birch took some muscling to get to bend - we had fun with that....

A little better view...next will be the Storage Bin rebuilding

The old front Birch panel
Oh boy we get to use cutting tools!

PRESTO! The new panel....well not really that easy...not bad for a rookie though

Installed and looks great - this really re-energized us

My home made jig setup....sweet huh?

The floor at the entry door -

A bit better view...

Abra Cadabra! Yah I wish I had a magic wand...

Repair made the floor in front solid

The floor on the street side repair....

This is the wall next to the entry door...

Reframed and ready for Birch paneling

Last look....for now!
HEY LOOK MA......NO FINGERS!!!!
